soldering (S)

What sets brazing, braze welding and soldering apart from welding is that welding is the only process in which the base metals are heated to their melting point.
Soldering occurs at temperatures below 840 degrees F.
Joints are typically copper-to-copper or copper-to-brass, while solders are typically tin/lead, tin/antimony (a non-metallic substance that acts as a cleaning and deoxidizing agent), or tin/silver.
